खाली रंग का डिब्बा

कक्षा पाँच के विद्यार्थी अपने मोहल्ले पर एक बड़ा चित्र बना रहे थे। उन्होंने घर, बस-स्टॉप, पेड़ और छोटा-सा पार्क बना लिया था। फिर उन्होंने हरे रंग का डिब्बा खोला, तो वह खाली निकला। ऋषि बोला, “अब पेड़ पूरे नहीं हो पाएँगे।” किसी ने सामान देखने वाली मीरा को दोष देने का सुझाव दिया, लेकिन मीरा ने बताया कि पिछली शाम डिब्बे में काफी रंग था।

The students of Class Five were making a mural about their neighbourhood. They had painted houses, a bus stop, trees, and a little park. Then they opened the green paint pot and discovered it was empty. “We can’t finish the trees,” said Rishi. Someone suggested blaming Mira, who had checked the supplies, but Mira explained that the pot had looked nearly full the day before.

Their art teacher asked, “What do we know, and what can we try?” The class tested blue and yellow on scrap paper, adding small amounts until they found several shades of green. Some shades were bright; others looked like leaves after rain. They marked each mixture so they could reproduce it.

हर बच्चे को पेड़ बनाना पसंद नहीं था। एक बच्चा सुंदर पैटर्न बना सकता था, दूसरा छोटे पक्षियों की आकृतियाँ बनाता था और तीसरा ब्रश चलाने से पहले आकृतियों को सही जगह रखने में अच्छा था। समूह ने चित्र के हिस्से बाँटे और हर व्यक्ति से पूछा कि वह किस तरह योगदान देना चाहेगा।

Not everyone wanted to paint a tree. One child was good at repeated patterns, another could sketch tiny birds, and a third preferred arranging the shapes before anyone used a brush. The group divided the mural into sections and asked each person what they would enjoy contributing.

तैयार दीवार पर अलग-अलग शैलियाँ थीं, फिर भी पूरा मोहल्ला एक साथ जुड़ा दिखता था। मीरा ने रंगों के मिश्रण लिखने में मदद की और बच्चों ने उसके पहले किए गए सावधानीपूर्ण काम की सराहना की। कक्षा ने सीखा कि संसाधन की कमी होने पर समस्या सुलझानी पड़ती है, और साझा काम तब बेहतर बनता है जब सभी को अलग-अलग तरीकों से योगदान देने का अवसर मिले। उन्होंने यह भी सीखा कि पूरी बात जाने बिना किसी को दोष नहीं देना चाहिए।

The finished wall showed many different styles, yet the neighbourhood looked connected. Mira helped record the paint mixtures and was thanked for the careful work she had already done. The class learned that a missing resource can require problem-solving, but a shared project becomes stronger when people are invited to contribute in different ways. They also learned not to blame someone before understanding what happened.
