🌟 Moral of the Story
"Sharing knowledge and protecting local biodiversity can benefit an entire community."

The school garden team wanted to grow more kinds of vegetables and flowers, but buying every packet of seed was expensive. Their teacher suggested a seed library: families could contribute seeds that were suitable for the local climate, along with notes about when and how they had grown.

The students made labelled envelopes and a simple record book. They learned not to collect unknown seeds or share plants that local guidance identified as invasive. Families were asked to contribute only seeds they were sure about, and a gardening volunteer checked labels before anything went into the library.

When the first seedlings appeared, students compared their notes. One type grew well in the sunnier bed; another needed more shade. A family that had little garden space still contributed useful information about growing plants in containers. Each contribution helped the group make better choices.

By the end of the term, the library held a wider variety of seeds and practical advice. The students learned that protecting local biodiversity is not about collecting everything. It is about sharing responsibly, recording what works, and respecting the knowledge and care that others contribute.
